The Chakram-Starfighter was commissioned by Queen Tetris Bloodaxe on the bequest of the Dragon Guard.  Initially the starfighers were used to hold off, and finally defeat the Draygon incursion Beyond the Blood Drift.  Following the Bloodaxe/Dragon Guard victory many of these Starfighters were transferred to the Dragon Guard fleet in Galaxy 4*.

The Chakram-Starfighter is a fast, tough, rugged craft with decent fire-power armed with twin laser cannons and photon torpedoes but lacks any real strength to it's shields.  The ships is equipped with hyper-drive and has state of the art computer scanners thanks to superior Dragon Guard technology.

Although all the statistics of this new craft appear impressive the rush with which the starfighters were produced, and their loss against the Imperial TIE fighters and Interceptors means that the Chakram-Starfighter still has much to prove itself as a space superiority starfighter.

When first commissioned the Dragon Guard shipyards were engaged in manufacturing Capital Warships, therefore an external contractor was found.  This was Sir Suker of the Tapani Sector, House Pelagia.  Sir Suker holds a large portion of the Tallon Shipyards and was paid a considerable amount of money with the express guarantee that the starfighters would not be used to aid The Empire.  Through clever politics Sir Suker was able to prevent the Empire shutting down the Starfighter manufacture, but the Empire instead have other plans.  Imperial Grand Moff Ravikk Bloodaxe, a relative of the Garbarian Queen Tetris Bloodaxe, placed heavy taxes on transportation of Starfighter Class starships along the Rimma Trade Route, and made it law that Starfighter Class Starships must pass through the Blood Drift under their own power.

This led to quick design changes to include a Hyperdrive on the ships, but with Tapani shipping companies not wanting to have problems with The Empire  this meant that Tetris had to somehow get 40,000 pilots to Tapani.  And with The Empire sure to attack any such transfer of Dragon Guard or Garbarian troops the problem was massive, complicated by the Empire forming a blockade on the edge of the Blood Drift.

However, the Dragon Guard were able to provide Tetris with the co-ordinates of a Hyper-Gate within the Tapani Sector on a distant sparsely populated ice moon.  The operation was immense, but successful, Tetris with the help of Sir Suker managed to sneak 40,000 pilots into the Tapani Sector!

The trouble was still yet to come.  Imperial Interdictor cruisers meant that the Starfighters would have to drop out of hyperspace and out maneuver the Imperial blockade.  It was risky but had to be done.  It failed!  Over two thirds of the Chakram-Starfighters were destroyed by the Empire!  Diotrophies of the Dragon Guard was furious at the loss, but there was nothing he could do.  He no longer had enough fighters to send to Galaxy 4, all were needed to fight the Draygons.

The Draygon forces were strong, taking many worlds including the Capital world of Archeron.  Eventually the Dragon starfleet moved on Gar.  The Dragon Guard Cruisers intercepted, but the Draygons started to get the upper hand.  Then from their hiding place in the Blood Drift nebula nearly ten thousand Chakram-Starfighters appears to tip the battle.  The Draygons had nothing as fast and agile, their Capital Warships lacking anti-starfighter cannons.  The Draygon forces were decimated, the Draygons defeated.  The Blood Drift was now secure under Dragon Guard rule.

* Galaxy 4 is the only reference the Kingdom of Bloodaxe has.  All is know is that this is a distant galaxy only accessible via a Hyper-Gate.
