Immortal Cyborgs are a plague.
The slightest mention of a person infected with death slugs
is enough to cause fear and panic across an entire Sector.
Immortal Cyborgs are cybernetic zombies, giving people yet
another reason to mistrust cyborgs, caused by death slug
infestation. Death slugs are microscopic organisms
believed to have been a failed attempt at nano-technology.
Once infected, with infection passed on by touch, the host
can die very quickly, even within seconds. An infected
being soon takes on the features of an Immortal Cyborg with
skin withering and growing of cyborg body parts.
Combating an Immortal Cyborg
The creatures organs no longer have
any function, so the destruction of the brain, heart or
lungs will have no effect on the creature. As
infection is caused by touch close combat is not
recommended. Immortal cyborgs do have a single known
weakness, salt water. Immersing an Immortal Cyborg
will destroy the creature, but does not always eliminate the
infection. eg. If an Immortal Cyborg was dropped into
a vat of salt water the creature would be destroyed, but the
vat of water would still contain the infection.
