SONTARANS
Sontarans
are a race of clone warriors. Their homeworld Sontar is a high
gravity world. Sontarans are a stocky race and very strong by human
standards. Their skin is leathery brown. Sontarans have domed
heads and no neck. The Sontarans have been waging war against the
Rutans for as long as any Sontaran or Rutan can remember. Lone
Sontarans will usually be military scouts. Sontaran technology is
high with their skills bordering on time-travel. Sontaran scout
ships are spheres approximately five meters in diameter. Their mighty war
ships are also spherical with what appears to be a giant wheel to the port
and starboard. Each war ship can carry over 10,000 battle ready
troops.

Sontarans in the Star Wars
Universe
If you are also using the
Rutans then the PC's could easily stumble into a space battle between the
two. A planet could suddenly have a tactical advantage in the
Sontarans affairs. If used in the Clone Wars the Sontarans could
have been created, or re-created, by either side, though more likely the
Separatists.

Special: Sontarans
have an inherant weakness. Sontarans must feed from a direct energy
source via a vent at the back of their neck. Any successfully attack
to the vent causes the Sontaran to immediately drop to -12 Wounds and die
unless he makes a successful saving roll.
To hit the
vent the Sontaran must be attacked from behind. The attack is at a
-6 penalty. The weapon must be able to penetrate the small vent (2
cm) so only blaster attack or small melee weapons. Unarmed attacks
or medium sized weapons or larger cannot be used to attack the Sontaran in
this way.
Saving throw.
The Sontaran if hit can still make a Reflex Saving throw DC20 to avoid the
attack provided he was not surprised or flanked.
