As the moon travels through the farthest reaches of space it's current trajectory takes it through a red mist which does not conform with any known nebula.

In this Episode...

Dai wears a hat...	Isabel doesn't wear a hat...	And something blows up...

PC's are all in Main Mission, Isabel and Tac assisting Professor Bergman in trying to identify the composition of the Red Mist.

Commander Koenig "We will pass in the Red mist in two days time, we need more information. David, prepare Eagle 5 for immediate lift-off, I want your team to do a thorough scan of the mists, we need to know if there is any danger."

The crew of Eagle 5 shuttle to the Hanger Bay, and moments later Eagle 5 launches and proceeds to the edge of the mist.

Initial scans are inconclusive so Isabel launches a probe. Nothing.

To test any effect on organic matter Isabel launches a probe containing spore samples. After a while scans come back negative, but with an echo, as if there were two probes. To test this another probe is sent out, and like before a double signal is received back.

Dai then picks something up on the general scanners... it appears to be an Eagle!

After confirming with Paul Morrow at Main Mission that no other Eagle has been launched Dai attempts to remotely control the Eagle, and is successful, but is surprised that it appears to be Eagle 5, there own ship!

Commander Koenig advises caution, he suggests they board, but leaves final decisions to Tac.

Isabel suggests downloading the ships logs first, which they do.

... Eagle 5 launched to investigate Red mist

... Scans reveal nothing of harm, Eagle 5 returns to Moonbase.

... Eagle 5 launched to make planetfall with unknown planet that has appeared in the Red Mists.

... Eagle 5 departs planet on return route to Moonbase Alpha

Isabel "So this Eagle is ours from six days into the future."

Dai docks onto the future Eagle. Tac & Joseph done spacesuits and cautiously enter. The pod is empty, but appears just as it should. Joseph opens the cockpit door and sees the two pilots, Dai and Akiko, slumped in their seats, so immediately calls for Kai to come over.

As he turns around, so does Tac to be confronted by the horrific sight other themselves, all other crew of the Eagle 5, but their faces are withered and gaunt with age. The aged Tac reaches out, but Tac steps back.

Aged Tac "Necrosis... Necrosis..."

The aged crew members disappear!

Joseph "Necrosis... that is what the guy in the crashed pod on that asteroid said a couple of weeks ago."

Kai comes aboard, but the crew in the cockpit have also gone.

They all return to their own Eagle and start back to Moonbase, Kai remote piloting the second Eagle, but before they reach the moon the second Eagle vanishes. Upon reaching Moonbase Alpha they are ordered to remain in quarantine.

The following day several crew members, including Sandra Benes, witness their own twisted aged images. Sandra is extremely distressed and taken into Medical. As whatever is causes these beings to appear is obviously not contained the Eagle 5 crew are released back to normal duty.
 

As the day progresses more of these aged doppelgangers appear causing fear throughout Moonbase Alpha.

Isabel and Professor Bergman continue to analyse the data from the probes.

On the 3rd day since encountering the Red Mist the moon enters the mist. Tac and Joseph are in main Mission when, as predicted by the Eagle logs, a planet is detected on the scanners.

Moonbase Alpha receives a communication from the alien world, "Earthmen, we the Necrosis know your plight. You are welcome on our world, free to make Necrosis Four your new home."

Commander Koenig is not convinced. He liaises with Tac and Joseph who had first encounter these Necrosis aboard the future Eagle, and fought with the decayed future forms of themselves.

Tac "We need to break the circle."
Joseph "I would not be in favour of going to that world."

Koenig agrees. "People of Necrosis, we are flattered by your generous offer. However we do not feel now is the right time for us to leave Moonbase Alpha., so must respectfully decline."

There was no response.

Over the next 24 hours appearances of the Necrosis, in the form of twisted decayed forms of the Alphans, increase, only now they are attacking the crew.

Commander Koenig put Tac in control of organising Security patrols.
Isabel continued her research along with Professor Bergman, focusing on the strange readings they were getting from the organic cultures they first sent in the mist in space.

The following day, with attacks continuing Paul Morrow detects three enemy spacecraft coming from the Necrosis planet on a course to Moonbase Alpha. Commander Koenig immediately dispatches Eagles 2 (Alan Carter), 5 (Dai) and 8 (Marcus) to intercept.
 

The Eagles attempt to outflank the alien craft, and are successful at first, the enemy spacecraft taking hits. The battles turns, Alan is hit, as is Marcus who loses life support and must retreat back to Alpha. Dai is on top form, out manoeuvring he alien craft, destroying one. Alan is hit and his ship disabled, leaving Dai to combat the two remaining threats. Dai is hit and loses his Thrusters, not that it makes much difference as he is still able to out manoeuvre the alien spacecraft, destroying a second.

The final ship breaks away and heads on a collision course for Alpha but Dai destroys it, before going to rescue Alan.

The attacks in Alpha Moonbase get worse with several crew killed. Several appear in Main Mission with Paul Morrow barely able to dodge an attack, Joseph and Tac tackling he other intruders only for them to disappear when apparently wounded.

The situation is not good for Dai, as the Necrosis launches six more spacecraft.

Meanwhile in the laboratory Isabel and Professor Bergman are hypothesising the nature of the readings they have detected on the organic cultures, with Bergman suggesting the readings are tachyon particles forming a bubble around the moon. Isabel suggests sending the cultures into space in a probe to get it away from the moon. Before they can act on their plan two future Necrosis Alphans appear. One lunges at Professor Bergman, snapping his neck... DEAD! The other lunges at Isabel who grabs a vile of hydrochloric acid and pours it over the organic cultures, destroying them...

...Dai manoeuvres Eagle 5 towards the mist in space, but it is gone. There is nothing. No mist, no planet, not second Eagle. They return to Moonbase Alpha somewhat mystified as to what has just happens, and with no memory of the events of the dead of tomorrow.
