GM
notes: These ranks, order
or insignia, may not be 100% correct. After consulting
several references, including Star Wars, British and American army
and naval structures, this was the closest we could get.
In our
game Rank is based on a characters Command skill.
This way a character can choose to become an officer. The GM
can demote characters as a penalty. In which case the
character would have to increase their skill to regain their rank,
but would not be able to ever reach the highest rank (we have
House rule limiting skills to 12D). It is important players
date their character sheet when they increase their Command skill.
Should two officers of the same rank ever be present the one
longest serving in that rank has superiority.
Characters
only gain a rank once skill points have been spent to increase
their command skill.
example:
Terri Lexgar has PERC. 3D, with no increase in Command. This
makes her a Trooper. Should she increase her Command to 3D+1
and choose to be in the Rebel Army, her Rank becomes Sergeant.
Fury has PERC.4D, but no increase in Command. Even though
Fury has Command 4D & Terri only 3D+1 Terri would be the
superior officer. Fury would remain a Trooper until she
increased her Command skill.
For the
sake of the game high ranking characters still go on missions.
