Planet Datalog

Like it's name says, this world is a sanctuary for some of the galaxies underworld figures.  Although planet lies close to Goa-uld occupied territory there is no Goa-uld presence on the world.  Law is instead kept by the mysterous Guard.  

The Stargate lies at the end of Main Street, a long stretch of bars, eateries and casino's, and despite the disreputable clientel there is very little trouble on Sanctuary, the Guard see to that.  There are only two taxes on Sanctuary, one paid for by property owners, though the amount is minimal compaired to their takings.  The other is for the use of the Stargate, at 1000 credits (that's local credits, not Republic or Imperial) per address.  The Guard guard the Stargate well, and address locations are obscured from all but the Guard on duty.

It was on Sanctuary where SG-7 bumped into the con man Tarrant Ford, though Tarrant would not reveal how he got there.  SG-7 also met members of the Imperial Stargate team for the first time including Captain Canthar 'the Suit' Lox.  It was on this world that the Jedi Master Te was discovered, and Shadow met, and duelled with, his former master, the Shadowspawn.

Sithspawn Speaks So the SGC want to start something with the Shadowspawn, well good luck to them, that's all I can say.  Poking around distant galaxies, interfering with affairs they should stay clear of.  They deserve everything they get, and they're going to get it!

No name was given to this world, not even by it's inhabitants.  It's native population were warring tribes of barbarians.  The tribes are constantly at war to please their god, Ares, God of War.  After battles Ares will appear before the victors and choose the greatest warriors to serve his own personal army.

Below the Temple of Ares nearest to the Stargate is a hidden chamber.  The technology fouhd here was very high.  With recent knowledge gained the SGC now believe this to be Goa'uld technology, and believe that Ares himself is a Goa'uld System Lord.

Ares did appear before SG-7, and did show great power.  There also appears to be a strong connection between this Ares, and the legends of the Ares on the planet Gar, where again the god assumes the title God of War.  SG-7 did discover the location of several other Stargates while on this world, including a world called New Gar (this world has not yet been visited).  It has been surmised that the humans on this world may be the decendants of a people from the planet Gar, Beyond the Blood Drift.  A Stargate has not yet been discovered on Gar.*

* This is only true for the SGC.  A Stargate does exist on Gar, in the Kingdom of Bloodaxe, and was discovered by Buffy.  Buffy (and Tarrant) also hold the secret of the location of another Stargate on the planet Aldis.
