U.S.S. Dudley

NCC - 1971

Stardate 44191.2

The crew must return a derelict Federation Starship back to space dock for decommissioning.

Lt. jg Poppius and Lt. jg Qaan and both up for promotion.

An away is sent to the USS Isaac, a derelict Reliant class starship, to prepare it to be towed back to Starbase.  But the USS Dudley is called away to answer a distress call.

The USS Dudley finally returns, upon which the Romulan ship self-destructs! 

The USS Isaac is towed back to space-dock.  But Ensign T'poc brings some odd readings from the Romulans transmission to the attention of Lt. Cmmdr Zeek; there was no virus in that transmission.  It was a bluff.  Whoever shut down the USS Dudley's engines was one of the crew!

I forget where I got the name and idea, I'm sure it was a forum thread of plot ideas, so if I find the source I will post a credit.

The primary antagonists are the Romulans.

The idea is that an old Romulan crew are on their way home to retire when they come across the stricken USS Isaac and try to take it as a final hurrah!

The idea of using the old Romulan Bird of Prey was to introduce starship combat to the players without giving them too tough an opponent.  Full stats are in the Core Rulebook.
