The Korad System
Korad is a junk world, it's surface littered with abandoned starships or their remains.  From space the planet appears to have rings, but these two are the orbiting wrecking of millions of starships.
The planet has not formal government but is ruled in principal by the remnants of the Techno Union.  Territories across the world tend to be split between four primary races; Ugnaughts, Jawa, Squib and Ugors.  These races do not always get along and junk wars are fought frequently, mostly involving the Ugors.

Tek Nor

A long serving member of the Techno Union who served the Separatists during the Clone Wars.  When the war was lost Tek Nor saw what the Emperor was planning, so took a small fleet ships and fled to the Outer Rim.  As the rest of the Techno Union got absorbed into the new Galactic Empire Tech Nor led the Independent Techno Union away from Imperial control.  Even though the Empire has now moved out to the Elrood sector they generally leave the Independent Techno Union and the planet Korad alone.

Secrets: Secretly the Independent Techno Union support the Rebel Alliance providing parts and technical supplies.

Wat Grimnor

The most outspoken opponent to Tek Nor within the Independent Techno Union is Wat Grimnor.  He also served during the Clone Wars but feels their place now is as part of the Empire.  He has shown no signs of betraying the relationship with the Rebel Alliance but strongly feels this relationship will prove the down fall of the Independent Techno Union.

Ugnaughts
The most technical adept of the races on Korad.  The Ugnaught primarily recycle heavy machinery and work in the employ of the Techno Union in their processing plants.  There are only a few Ugnaught cities across Korad, most build underground; this provides not only a familiar environment but also a better defence against attacks.
Allies: Squibs
Secrets: It has been rumoured than in the process of mining out a cavern for one of their underground cities the Ugnaughts have discovered an ancient Gree Hyper-Gate.  There is no evidence of such an arefact recorded on Korad, although Gree artefacts have been discovered on other worlds throughout the Elrood Sector.

Ugors
The shape-shifting Ugors come from the System of Paradise, possibly the galaxies largest junk yard.  They are galactic junk dealers.  They own most of the territories on Korad, mostly due to them being the most combat ready and having fleets are powerful Dreadnaught Battlecruisers.  Ugors rarely build proper cities, they just re-arrange their junk yards to suit their needs living in the wrecks of old crashed starships.  Passage is permitted to Ugor cities, although a passage tax will apply.
Secrets: The Ugors find it difficult to keep anything secret from the rest of Korad.  Although the Ugor Dreadnought fleet is believed to be much bigger than the known starships seen in the Elrood Sector.

Squibs
The Squibs presence on Korad began just as an annoyance to the Ugors.  But since then they have become a major force in trade.  Squib settlements are little more than shanty towns, but they are still very capable of defending themselves using their Tractor Beam technology.  Squib traders will often be found in the company of Ugnaughts and Jawa as well as working as bartering agents for the Techno Union.  It is however very rare to find them dealing with their enemy, the Ugors.
Allies: Jawa
Secrets: It has been rumoured that the Squibs have discovered working teleport technology.  Whilst extremely rare this technology is not unheard of, although common consensus is that the Squibs have merely leaked this to bait the Ugors.

Jawa
The Jawa do not have any cities to speak of, instead are more nomadic travellers.  Their territories are frequently changing as they buy and sell land with other nations as they move about in their cobbled together vehicles, many reminiscent of their Sandcrawlers back on Tatooine.  Jawas generally trade in droids and smaller junk items and are often found pestering visitors in Korad City.
Allies: Ugnaughts, Squibs
Secrets:  With ties to the Hutt controlled Tatooine, and the ease at which Jawa seem to purchase routes across Korad it is often talked of in hushed voices that the Jawas, and Chieft Kwakik in particular, may have underworld connections.  The Jawas deny this.
