Episode One -
The RescueAt the Rebel base on the planet Soth, an aide approaches Rebel Supreme ruler, Mon Mothma; Aide: "M'am, I think you should see the live holovid of the Tapani Sector." Mon Mothma "Really? I don't particularly want to watch my good friend Lord Basking being assassinated." The Holovid shows the arrival ceremony of the Golden Staircase Event on Procopia. Held in the floating Shey Tapani Arboretum it is only accessible via the golden staircase. Workers are not permitted to come or go during the event, air traffic is restricted and the event is strictly invite only. Security is tight. Mon Mothma "I can't see how...by the heavens.. what?!"
Outside the Shey Tapani Arboretum a speeder pulls up being driven by a Wookiee.
Mon Mothma "Mr. Torm does have some nerve trying to pull this off." Event Commentator "And they are being waved into the Arboretum, this is absolutely unprecedented to have an uninvited princess attend, but there we are." Inside the Great Gala Room many of the sectors most senior Lords and Ladies are present including High Lord Bal Jaset of House Melantha, Savant Mattherson the High Lady of House Tapani and Grand Admiral Kaine of The Empire.
Torm to Jo'din "Okay, Lord Basking has to sign the contract before they assassinate him, so during the ceremony I want you to stay close to him. Then get him and the Ladt out via the kitchen, Wookoid will be waiting." Jo'din "Okey dokey."
Torm mingles, and Jo'din tries to sense any animosity or deception amongst the crowd, which is not easy as everyone in the Tapani Sector has something to hide. An Imperial officer approaches Torm. "Sir, the Admiral would like a word." Not wanting to make a fuss Torm approaches Grand Admiral Kaine. Torm "Nice uniform."
Torm (still wearing the gold mask) "What, you have x-ray vision?" Torm notices that the Admirals gaze is actually looking past him and to Jo'din. "Pretty, isn't she." Grand Admiral Kaine "Is she the one? The one that killed my apprentice?" Torm "Appren... err... you;ve not been near Ord Mantell recently?" Grand Admiral Kaine "I could have you shot for treason right here, and it would not be questioned."
Torm "Yeah, but you don't know who we've told about your little Sith rebellion." Grand Admiral Kaine "Then you will tell me." Torm "Not today grandpa." Torm is about to sidle away from the Admiral when... Grand Admiral Kaine "The... princess.. appears to be attracting a crowd."
Jo'din has told Terri that one of the guests, a Lord Cadirri, is not who he seems. So Terri has approached him, he is chatting to several other high nobles. Terri "Cadirri, as I live an breathe, it's been a long time." Lord Cadirri "So it has... princess." Terri smiles and turns to the other nobles, "The good Lord and I were roomies back in our university days on Procopia. We had such fun... didn;t we?" Lord Cadirri "Now is not the time..." Terri "Oh sure it is... now, what was the name that Baroness you met on the moon of Vega?" Lord Cadirri "I really don't recall." Terri "That's because you are not Lord Cadirri, are you?" There is a pause but is quick with a kick and punch knock the Lord unconscious. Guards rush over... but only to find the Lords face has changed to that of an alien Clawdite. The guests are amazed as Terri smiles and moves away.
Grand Admiral Kaine "I say she is wonderful. It will be fun breaking her." Torm "You won't, she's a Lexgar. And this conversation is over." Torm shares his findings with Terri, but tells her not to move against him. "He's not the assassin, he's more interested in Jo'din."
The Gala evening moves on and there are many speeches, leading up to signing of a new business alliance between Tapani and Barnaba.. when the assassin, dresses as a Stormtrooper security, strikes! Jo'din is quick enough to ignite her lightsabre and deflect the shot. Jo'din and Torm then rush Lord Basking and his Ledy wife towards the kitchen and the awaiting landspeeder driven by Wookoid. Terri lunges at the assassin who manages to blast her! Wounded Terri leaps and punches the assassin incapacitating him, but actual Security not knowing what is goig on try to apprehend her. Terri grabs the blaster off he assassin and runs to the window, blasting and jumping through it! Torm sees her. "Wookoid, you'd better step on it, Terri just jumped out the window." Wookoid turn th speeder, flying under the floating Arboretum. Terri hits the speeder but (fumble) rolls off. Woodoid spins the speeder around only to see Terri floating in the air... Jo'din in the back seat of the speeder concentrating and using her telekinesis to catch Terri. Onboard the speeder Wookoid heads to the docking bay. Lord Basking "Thank you, but what about the security patrol?" Who did you get a speeder near the ball?" Junior (in the front passenger seat) "Oh that bit was easy, I just hacked into their computer system and gave us permission." Lord Basking "Well thank you again. That was most impressive." Terri (nursing her blaster wound "It's what we do."
Episode Two - The Gate The Lone Dwarf touches down on Soth Base where the Warriors are met by General Draven.
General Draven "Ms. Lexgar, Junior, Wookoid, Mon Mothman would like to see you in the briefing room." Torm and Jo'din go to follow. General Draven "Sorry, you're not cleared for this." Torm "What? That's my team."
Torm "Terri has higher security clearance? Listen General, this is my team. If they go, I go." The general reluctantly nods, then goes to stop Jo'din. Torm "She's basically a Jedi, she out ranks all of us." Jo'din (smiling) "I'm backup." General Draven "Mothma isn't go to like this, but go on." In the Briefing Room Mon Mothma, supreme ruler of the Rebel Alliance stands with... a Gungan. Terri "Bom Bad?! How are are you?" Terri and the Gungan fist pump. Torm "Wait, you know a Gungan?" Mon Mothma "Front door, you never cease to amaze. Anyway, I have called you hear regarding Project Stargate. With the exception of mister Torm and ms. Northstar you were all part of that project." Torm "You were all on a secret project? A secret project even I didn't know about?" Junior "Wow, he really doesn't like being out the loop." Torm shakes his head in disbelief. "So stargate, you do mean like the Hypergates in the Gree Enclave?" Mon Mothma "That is correct, but they do not function, and the Rebel 'gate was lost to The Empire, leaving us cut off from New Hope, out Rebel safe world. We have been trying to find a new Hypergate, and we believe we have found one." Terri "Is it Gar or the one in Tapani?" Junior "Gar? Tapani?" Mon Mothma "Are you saying you know about two Hypergates and didn't tell us?"
Terri "Sorry, I thought you knew." Mon Mothma "And how did you acquire this knowledge?" Jo'din "Oh, Tetris uses them to get in and out of the Blood Drift rather than risk navigating the nebulae." Mon Mothma "The Bloodaxe Queen has access to a Hypergate? Where precisely?" Terri "The Gar one is in Bloodaxe territory, in the Temple of Ares, but is guarded by Dragon Guard. The Tapani one is on a small Pelagia world called Fridgia. But they really don't like people using it." Mon Mothma "Well, we shall enquire with our Pelagia allies. Until then you will travel to a small world where our scientists have detected a an energy emission that we believe may be a Hypergate. Hopefully we can regain contact with our friends on the safe worlds. May the force be with you."
The Lone Dwarf drops out of Hyperspace in the little known system of Korleth. Junior "So, we have a basically a rock in space. Atmosphere breathable but with constant electrical storms. Most scanners are useless. A great world to hide on. The only reason the Alliance found the 'gate is because it operates on a different frequency to standard scanners." Torm "Damn, I wish I knew of this world when I was still a smuggler." Torm pilots the ship down, succeeding in the difficult piloting. Landing spots are scarce, but he finds a cave to land the ship. Torm "Okay, usual, Wookoid keep the ship ready, everyone else follow me." Junior "I have the scanner, would it be more prudent to follow me?" Torm "Oh just... move."
Episode Three - The dread pirate
Torm "I think we go front door again, but it won't be easy climbing up there." (Moderate: Climbing - but Jo'din users 'Enhance Attribute Force Power and all the Warriors can climb with ease, Jo'din herself springing up the cliff like a ninja!) Only Torm approaches, calling out to a Nikto who immediately draws his blaster, Torm has his hands up. Torm "Hey, can you help?" (Moderate: Con - an easy one for Torm) Torm then beckons the others over. Several more Nikto with blasters drawn approach and their leader is called. A Kadas'sa'Nikto approaches who Torm recognises, Klatak, a particularly nasty pirate in the employ of Jabba the Hutt, and he holding a nasty looking Vibro-Axe! ( Klatak "I know you. You're
the smuggler. And Beauty (Terri's name when she worked for
Jabba)." (Difficult: Con - just!) Klatak "Drop your weapons in that crate. Take them to the dormitory." Junior tries to sneak Jo'din's lightsaber into his toolbox, but Klatak spots it (FUMBLE). He walks over and takes it, tucking it into his belt. Klatak "That is now mine for trying to deceive me. Now go while I decide what to do with you."
The Warriors are taken to the dormitory. It is currently empty, and no more than some bunks in a big cave. Two guards are placed on the door. Terri "Well that could have gone
better." Jo'din tries and fails to use Battle Meditation on the Nikto guards, leaving it up to Torm and Terri to try it the old fashioned way. Torm "Hey, can you help us in here?" (Moderate: Con) The two guards enter the room where Terri immediately attacks them. Nikto pirate
Torm "Terri, you take Jo'din and get our guns back. Junior with me."
Terri and Jo'din sneak back out to the landing bay. (Easy: Hide/Sneak - which Terri fumbles knocking of a crate that hits the ground with a crash! Seven Nikto spot them, two are close! Terri battle the two close Nikto, Jo'din fires
a random shot towards the far ones. Rounds before Nikto get reinforcements - D6 - 5. Round 1 - Jo'din revives and heals herself.
Terri is hit but only stunned! Jo'din reaches out with the Force and pulls the crate with their weapons to them as another eight Nikto Pirates arrive on the scene! Terri and Jo'din flee into the base.
Torm and Junior find the cave with the Hyper-Gate and a small makeshift control room manned by two Nikto. Torm "Chill, Klatak sent us to help." (Difficult: Con - Torm rolls 27!) Junior looks over their basic computer set up. Junior "There is no dial out
device." Walking like he own the place Torm leads Junior down to the Hyper-Gate. Torm "Well?"
Klatak "You make my decision too easy.
There is no way out of this chamber." Jo'din walks out to face off against Klatak. Klatak "Am I supposes to be scared of a twi'lek whore?" Jo'din reaches out with her hand... and
nothing happens! (Telekinesis fumble!) Klatak takes no time in swinging his Vibro-Axe at her! Jo'din swings her lightsaber slicing the axe in two! She extends he lightsaber blade holding it close enough to Klataks face it can feel the heat of the blade. Jo'din "You had already lost when you entered the room. Tell your men to leave." Klatak pauses, the order the pirates to leave. Junior manages to get power tot he Hyper-Gate and using his datapad starts to enter an address, but Terri grabs it from him, and enters it herself. Junior tries to see what world she is dialling, "Dudeworld?" The Hype-Gate initiates and the wormhole is established. Torm "Now!" Torm covers Klatak so Terri, Junior and Jo'din can flee through the 'gate. Klatak growls as Torm jumps through the Hyper-Gate, it closing behind him. The Warriors find themselves on a dying volcanic planet, rivers of lava and with a moon breaking up overhead... and no dial out device!
Junior "Oh... Deathworld.
Now that makes sense."
Episode Four - Deathworld The Warriors carefully, but quickly use stepping stones to jump the flow of lava and run to the cave to get some cover from the falling rocks. Torm and Junior are in trouble though. Jo'din uses the Force too enhance Juniors dexterity allowing him to run across to safety, but she unable to help Torm. Terri goes back to help him. Junior "You know this is likely a
volcano and this is a lava vent." The Warriors find a wider cave. Inside Junior spots something, under investigation it appears to be a corpse of an unknown alien (Alien Races: roll a 20 and still doesn't know!). There are crawl marks coming from another cave tunnel. With nothing to lose they follow to see if they can find where the alien came from. It eventually leads back outside, but in the distance is a crashed spaceship!
The Warriors head over as quickly as they can. Torm "It's a... a... ???" (Starship Repair: Very Difficult - Junior roll 28 against a difficulty of 30 - it can take off but with reduced speed and no manoeuvrability) Junior "It will go, but not very well." The controls are alien. But as Torm speaks a computer recognises their language... Computer "Language identified.
Skyriver basic." (Starship Piloting: Difficult - Torm rolls 27!) Torm "Alien starship my sweet patooti." The flying saucer groans and begins to rise as Torm pilots it up into space and away the the deathworld. Junior get on with finalising his repairs. Torm and Junior are unable to fathom the navigation computer. Junior "This ship doesn't have a
hyperdrive." The outer saucer beings to spin and hum, a warp bubble form around the ship and propels the saucer in the unknown...
