Gar is a world of magnificent and wondrous
creatures, presented below are just a few of the more
common. For any other Creatures of Gar I suggest picking up
the Dungeons &
Dragons Monster Manuals,
conversion to Star Wars is easy enough.

A Gar Dragonback is
a semi-sentient offshoot of the Greater Dragons. These creature
were used as beasts of burden during the Gar Dragon Wars many
centuries ago. Many Dragons died in that war, and the honored
tradition of the Dragon Rider has begun to fade into the past.
Only a few of these noble warriors are left. There are still
rumors that a handful of the intelligent Great Dragons still
exist, but no one is brave, or stupid, enough to go seek them out.
Anyone other than a
Dragon Rider who attempts to ride a Dragonback must make a Ride
check DC 20. In combat the Dragon Rider may forfeit his own
actions and use the Dragonback attacks instead.

The Gargantuan
Legend tells of a
great creature, an abomination that was created, then cast aside by
the Gods. The stories tell of how this creature, full of rage,
stomped across Gar destroying everything in it's path. No man,
no beast, no army or magic could destroy, or even stop it. In
their hour of need the kings of Gar joined forces and prayed to the
Gods to take back the mighty creature. But it was too late,
the creature wanted nothing to do with the Gods. It was only
such arrogance on behalf of the Gargantuan that caused the Gods to
intervene. Ares and Athena joined forces and tackled the
beast. They fought for weeks, from the oceans to the snow
capped mountains. Eventually the Gargantuan was defeated, it's
carcass buried under a mountain for eternity. There is often
talk that the Gargantuan will one day arise, and continue it's
destructive path. But these are just stories, aren't they...?

Hydra
- D6
This nasty
creature is smaller than a dragon and lives under ground.
It surfaces to feed, normally on the Gar population. It
will normally feed in remote regions like on the edge of
far off forests.
A Hydra is
notoriously hard to kill and is believed to be induced
with magical properties.

Special
abilities:
The Hydra
can only truly be slain if it’s heart is destroyed.
Cutting off
one of it’s heads will result in it growing two more,
and it may attack without multiple action penalties for
each head.
Illusion. A
Hydra is a creature of the Gods, and often a Hydra has
lured prey in usually with the image of a young distressed
girl. Whether this is the Hydra’s doing or the Gods is
unknown. |
Standard
Horse
Horse's
can actually be found across the galaxy, much like Bantha's
can. They are a reliable beast of burden, although can
be easily spooked.

War
Horse
Although
similar to a standard horse the War Horse is usually bred
from the finest stock of animals. The War Horse will
be bigger and more powerful than a regular horse and is less
likely to get frightened in combat. Knights will ride
these magnificent beasts of burden onto the battlefield.
A reliable mount is just as important as a good sword. |
